St Helens Safeguarding Children Partnership utilise a modular approach to Working Together to Safeguard Children training.

Whilst all the training delivered across the partnership, highlights the significance of multi-agency working to help, protect and promote the welfare of children, the following courses and self-directed learning, underpin the Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023 framework

Across the Pan Mersey region, local learning reviews have identified many themes around safeguarding children and young people that are echoed throughout the five boroughs.

Collectively the five Safeguarding Children Partnership's, Liverpool, Knowsley, St. Helens, Sefton and Wirral, have joined to produce a digital learning space whereby we have highlighted five of the reoccurring themes and their learning points for professionals to reflect upon, share and most importantly embed into practice. These being:

  • Voice and Lived Experience of the Child
  • Professional Curiosity and Challenge
  • Contextual Safeguarding
  • Recording and Decisions Making
  • Information Sharing

Alongside the face to face and virtual training please also utilise the following resources for your own self-directed learning.
