Meet Business Support
Business support is an integral part of the Safeguarding team providing high quality operational support to the Safeguarding Unit. Business support is responsible for ensuring all administrative tasks are completed correctly, within timescales and in a confidential manner.
Tasks undertaken by the Business Support Team include:
- Compiling and distribution of all invitations for meetings facilitated by the unit, which include; Child Protection Conferences, Looked After Children Reviews, Missing from Care, LADO, Child Exploitation, Fabricated Induced Illnesses, Sudden Unexplained Death of Infants and Children.
- Taking accurate minutes within all meetings held, which are then distributed to the family involved as well as Partner agencies.
- We also support the Service and Operational Managers, Independent Reviewing Officers and Safeguarding Coordinators to ensure their day to day work runs smoothly and accurately.
We have a positive working relationship with our partner agencies which are a key factor to ensure appropriate information is shared, in order for us to maintain accurate recording of information. The current Business Support Team is made up of 7 Safeguarding Secretaries and 1 Clerical Officer, whose aim is to ensure business continuity throughout the administrative process with the Safeguarding Unit.
