Understanding Childhood Neglect & Responding Effectively

PLEASE NOTE:

• THIS COURSE IS A PRECURSER TO THE 'GCP2: LICENSED TRAINING FOR PRACTITIONERS'! All GCP2 training has been scheduled to take place the day after this course. Therefore you have to complete this course before completing the GCP2 training.
• If you are not needing to complete the GCP2 licensed training then please feel free to book this course in isolation.

Understanding Childhood Neglect & Responding Effectively training will look at:

• Practice Learning Reviews - Neglect mistaken for other conditions; Drift & delay.  
• Appropriate strategies and interventions when working with families where neglect is a concern using the Signs of Safety model.
• Applying tools for observation of parent/child interaction to strengthen observational and analytical skills.
• Understanding the importance of nurturing 'healthy resilience' in a child.
• Graded Care Profile 2 (GCP2) as a tool for assessment, intervention and decision making in working to safeguard children from abuse and neglect.

Any cancellation can be done by logging into your account. All cancellations need to be made at least 5 working days prior to the training date. Any late cancellations or DNA's will be charged £50!
