LADO REFRESHER TRAINING

This refresher session is designed for practitioners who have previously completed the Half-Day LADO Training and would like to revisit key principles, processes and expectations when managing concerns about adults working with children.

The session will cover:

• Recognising and responding to concerns about adults who work with children.
• Understanding the difference between a low-level concern and conduct that may meet the LADO threshold.
• Thresholds for referral and what agencies are expected to consider before making a referral.
• A review of the LADO consultation and referral forms, including how to complete them effectively and the associated processes.
• A reminder of the importance of safer recruitment practices and maintaining up-to-date training.
• Signposting to support, advice, guidance and useful resources.

This session provides an opportunity to refresh your knowledge, increase confidence in managing concerns, and ensure referrals are appropriate, timely and of a high quality.
